Milazzo is a small Italian resort and port town in the north-east of Sicily. Unlike other large resorts with their noise and constant flow of tourists, Milazzo is a quiet and family-friendly town. Milazzo has nice beaches that stretch along the entire peninsula. The northern tip, cape Capo di Milazzo, offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes, the lighthouse, the bay and Etna volcano.
The main tourist sight of the town is a fortress, built in the Norman era, with the Norman castle, which is often compared with the Tower of London. Among other Milazzo`s sights tourists can admire the Duomo di San Stefano, the Church of Madonna del Rosario and the Church of San Francesco di Paola.
The town lies close to the 13th century royal fortress Castoreale, the town of Tindari that holds many legends, the picturesque bay, the beautiful temple, Jalari Park and the unique Ethnographic Museum in the vicinity of Barcellona-Pozzo di Gotto.
